Werner Weekly Update

Dear Werner Community,

Welcome back to the 2019-2020 school!  We look forward to seeing you all next week.  Each week you will receive Werner Weekly updates.  These updates will include important reminders to help support you.  Our website is also an important resource for the most-up-to-date information.  You can see what events are happening on our calendar on the website.  As always, we encourage you to talk to your teacher or let us know if you have any questions.  Down below are your updates for the upcoming week.  Have a great weekend!

Please stay up-to-date with events through our online calendar.

Class lists are now up on our website.  Please click on your child's grade level to view the roster.  You can find your child by first name, last initial.  Class rosters are final.  We do not accept any requests for homeroom changes.  Thanks for your understanding with this as our staff has worked very hard on class placement.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Camp.

Our annual Open House will be on Monday, August 19 from 3:30-4:30 pm.  Students in 1st-5th grade will have the opportunity to drop off supplies and meet their teacher.  Afterwards, we will have an ice cream social on the playground to give time for families to connect.  Kindergarten will schedule separate times for their Back-to-School events.  They will communicate separately.  Please do not arrive before 3:30 as our staff if working hard to prepare for the 1st day of school.

We want to remind you that our school day has been adjusted to 8:50 am-3:28 pm.

See the attachment below regarding what you need to know to start back to school here at Werner.

Students should not arrive before 8:30 am and may go to the playground until the first bell rings at 8:45 am.  Students walking should use appropriate crosswalks to get to school.  Students riding their bike or scooter should walk them when on school grounds.

If you are dropping off your student by car, please use the drop-off lane in the south parking lot or on Highcastle Drive.  When dropping off, just pull up and drop off your student.  If you need more time, or your child needs help, please park in a designated parking spot, along Mail Creek Lane, Highcastle Drive, or Roma Valley Drive.  Please do not leave your car, wait excessively, or park in the drop-off Lane in the south parking lot.  This creates a back-up in traffic.  Thanks for your help with this.
