Media Center Information

"The Mission of the Werner Media Center is to encourage the love of reading, to educate all students in the proficient use of ideas and information, to equip them to make information based decisions, to utilize technology responsibly, and to create effective products in a nurturing, challenging, and structured environment"

Library Hours: 8:15a.m. - 3:45 p.m.

The Werner Elementary Media Center offers a multitude of library, media and technology services for students, staff and the Werner Community.

Our library houses over 15,500 items in our collection with many new books and audio/visual items coming in on a regular basis. The Media Center is also home to numerous computers and printers for student and staff use in our Mini Lab.

The Media Center is connected to The Werner Computer Lab where students have access to the computers on a weekly basis through scheduled instruction. The  Library Media and Technology program offers research projects, library/media skills, literature and computer instruction as well as individual assistance with information gathering and technology.

Our volunteers are an essential part of our program and are a huge asset to  providing students with a well organized and staffed Media Center. If you are interested in volunteering at the Werner Elementary Media Center, we would love to talk with you.
