Thanks for visiting my page! My name is Lisa Scarborough. I am so lucky to be teaching at Werner Elementary School. I earned a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a bachelors degree in Special Education from Montana State University - Billings. I also have my masters degree in Special Education from Concordia University. Werner is very near and dear to my heart because my daughters Emma and Claire have attended Werner since Kindergarten. Some of my hobbies are watching football (Go Eagles) walking, yoga, reading, cooking, seeing live music shows, and going to hockey games (Go Flyers)! In my free time, my girls and I like to go hiking, have fun at amusement parks, see concerts together, swim and go for bike rides. I love this Werner community. The staff, students, and parents here feel more like a family to me.
Kindergarten is an amazing age of students to teach! Building relationships with my students and their parents is by far the best part of my job. 5 year olds not only keep me on my toes but keep a smile on my face year round. One of the most rewarding times of the year is when we send letters to Veteran men and women when they are a part of the Honor Flight of Northern Colorado. I look forward to this every fall and spring and occasionally we are lucky enough to have some of the Veterans write us back or come in to visit.
