Dear Werner Community,

I apologize, but I forgot to add one additional impact on Werner from boundary changes with regards to possible high school feeders. The possible feeder implication for high school in Scenario E would be either Fossil Ridge HS or Fort Collins HS depending on where you lived. The information, and a link to see the proposed boundary change for high school, is in the original message below. 

Last night, the board decided to update the process and that was communicated to the community late last night. They will still be asking for the community to respond to a questionnaire by May 19 and the scheduled listening session on June 4 will continue, with an anticipated action by the board on June 11.

Dear Werner Community, 

Communication was sent last Friday regarding the revised scenarios for potential boundary modifications and school consolidations from the Facilities Planning Steering Committee. The committee will be presenting these to the Board of Education tonight. 

Current implications for Werner are strictly around boundary adjustments. Here is the anticipated impact on Werner from the current revisions: 

• Scenario D1- Our school boundaries would change to include new neighborhoods along Timberline Road and we would lose a small portion of undeveloped land north of Trilby and west of Timberline. Our students would continue to feed into Preston MS and Fossil HS. 

• Scenario D2- Our school boundaries would change to include new neighborhoods along Timberline Road and we would lose a small portion of undeveloped land north of Trilby and west of Timberline. Our students would continue to feed into Preston MS and Fossil HS. 

• Scenario E- Our school boundaries would remain the same except we would lose a small portion of undeveloped land north of Trilby and west of Timberline. Our students would feed into Boltz MS and either Fossil Ridge HS or Fort Collins HS (HS Map Scenario E). 

• Scenario F- Our school boundaries would change to include new neighborhoods along Timberline Road and we would lose a small portion of undeveloped land north of Trilby and west of Timberline. Our students would feed into Boltz MS and Fort Collins HS. 

Feedback and Next Steps 

• To provide feedback on the proposed scenarios, please complete this questionnaire by May 19. 

• Changes are still possible before a recommendation is shared with the school board on May 28. 

• The Board of Education will host a listening session on June 4 and is expected to vote on recommendations on June 11.
