All About Me:

My name in Mona Glover and I teach First Grade here at Werner. I have been teaching at Werner for about 16 years now and have taught Literacy, Fourth grade, Kindergarten, and this is my  ninth year in First Grade. I was born in Iowa City, Iowa and attended Lincoln Elementary, Central Jr. High, and West High School there. I went to the University of Iowa and then got my masters degree from Santa Clara University. I taught for 7 years in California-mostly Kindergarten and First grade. Then moved to Colorado. I taught a year of Kindergarten in Berthoud and then took several years off to be with my children. I have three kids: Jeff and his wife, Megan, live in Los Angeles, California.  Lauren lives in Seattle. My youngest, Mitch, is living with us as he attends CSU. My husband, Scott, works at HP. I love to spend time with my family, cook, and read all kinds of books in my free time. I am looking forward to getting to know all of my classroom families this year and see the tremendous growth the First Graders make.
