Werner PTA

MISSION OF WERNER

PTA:

  • To support and speak on behalf of the children and youth in the schools, in the community and before government bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children.

  • To assist parent and children in developing the skills they need to help all children be successful.

  • To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

THE WERNER PTA…

Supports the Werner community through fun community events such as the Fall Fun Festival, Werner Dines Out, Winter Family Event, and classroom parties. Through various community service activities like Werner Cares and Shares, Werner students and parents reach out to others in the community.

Supports Werner Students by supporting the Earth Fair, Field Trips, Battle of the Books, Enrichment Programs, and Assemblies. In addition money from PTA reserves helps pay for improvements to the school like technology and other classroom materials that benefit all students.

Supports Werner Parents during monthly business meetings. In addition, the PTA also hosts informational speakers occasionally over the year.

Support Werner Teachers and Classrooms through grants that help offset extra costs for materials and supplies the teachers use to enhance students learning experiences. Through the Scholastic Book Fair, we are able to put more books on library shelves.
